Tranexamic acid/氨甲环酸 生物活性

描述 Tranexamic acid (cyclocapron), a cyclic analog of lysine, is an orally active antifibrinolytic agent. It is used to mitigate the effects of severe trauma and is known for inhibiting urokinase plasminogen activator and enhancing the appearance of dry wrinkles. Tranexamic acid is also researched for its efficacy in promoting hemostasis[1].[2].[3].[4].[5].
体内研究

When administered intravenously at a dose of 100 mg/kg twice daily for durations ranging from 3 to 28 days, tranexamic acid leads to more robust immune activation following traumatic brain injury in plasminogen-deficient mice[3].

Orally administered at 750 mg/kg once daily for 20 consecutive days, tranexamic acid reduces the proliferation of mast cells and enhances the proliferation of fibroblasts in mice, which contributes to the improvement of wrinkles associated with skin dryness[4].

体外研究

In studies involving human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) and human arterial endothelial cells (HAECs), tranexamic acid at concentrations ranging from 20-100 μg/mL over 24 hours, enhances mitochondrial respiration, reduces the release of damage-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs), and improves capillary integrity, thereby attenuating the effects of severe trauma[1].

Additionally, tranexamic acid at a concentration of 0.2-5 mM applied for 30 minutes inhibits cell migration in MDA-MB-231 BAG breast cancer cells[2].
