BTS/N-苄基对甲苯磺酰胺 生物活性

描述 BTS (N-Benzyl-p-toluenesulfonamide) is a powerful and selective suppressor of the ATPase activity of skeletal muscle myosin II subfragment 1 (S1), with IC50s around 5 µM when actin- and Ca2+-activated. It distinctly targets and halts the contraction of fast skeletal muscle fibers[1].[2].
体外研究

Otherwise, BTS (2-12 μM) inhibits the Ca2+-stimulated ATPase activity of myosin S1 in the absence of actin, with an IC50 of ~5 µM[1].

BTS's influence spans to a reversible reduction in the gliding motility rate of heavy meromyosin (HMM) within concentrations of 2-20 μM[1].

At a higher concentration of 100 μM, it facilitates the detachment of myosin from actin in ADP's presence[1].

In skinned skeletal muscle fibers from both rabbits and frogs, BTS can reversibly suppress isometric Ca2+-activated tension, showcasing IC50s of approximately 3 μM and 1 μM, respectively[1].
