Cardiogenol C 生物活性

描述 Cardiogenol C, a powerful and cell-permeable pyrimidine inducer, triggers the differentiation of ESCs into cardiomyocytes with an EC50 of 100 nM[1]. Cardiogenol C induces cardiomyogenesis in lineage-committed progenitor cells possessing limited plasticity. It serves as an effective cardiomyogenic agent, potentially enhancing cardiac repair through cell transplantation therapy in animal models[2].
体外研究

Cardiogenol C (1 μM; 7 days) exerts a cardiomyogenic impact on P19 cells, significantly elevating atrial natriuretic factor (ANF,nppa) levels compared to untreated control cells[1].

Cardiogenol C (0.01-100 μM; 7 days) markedly boosts ANF expression and also significantly raises levels of another commonly used cardiac marker gene (NKX2-5) in C2C12 cells[2].

Cardiogenol C (0.001-100 μM; 7 days) enhances cardiac Nav1.5 sodium channel protein levels in a dose-dependent way in C2C12 cells[2].

Cardiogenol C (0.01-100 μM; 7 days) does not affect cell growth, even at concentrations up to 10 μM. Additionally, whether dissolved in water or DMSO, Cardiogenol C produces similar effects. At the highest concentration of 100 μM, the significant cellular toxicity is observed in C2C12 cells[2].
