Thyroid hormone receptor is a type of nuclear receptor which control transcription and have effects in all cells within the body. Tiratricol is an agonist of the thyroid hormone receptor TRα and TRβ (EC50= 1.81 and 4.13nM, respectively)[3] [4] [5] [6]
