Phycocyanobilin, administered orally at 15 mg/kg in the diet for two weeks, exhibits antioxidant effects in mice with type 2 diabetes[3].

Phycocyanobilin (100 μM; 0-250 min) impedes the peroxidation of methyl linoleate, resulting in an extended induction period[1].

Phycocyanobilin (1 mM; 0-300 min) reduces the oxidation of liposomes[1].
