When administered at a therapeutic dose of 82.8 mg/kg of body weight to 1% body weight per day for 10 days, it influences various biological parameters differently among fish species. In Morone chrysops x M. saxatilis, it increases relative liver weight. In Ictalurus punctatus, it enhances the enzymatic activity of CYP3A4, whereas in Oreochromis niloticus, it increases protein expression of CYP3A4 but depletes hepatic CYP3A4[1].
