Methyl nicotinate/烟酸甲酯 生物活性

描述 Methyl nicotinate (Nicotinic acid methyl ester) serves as an orally active vasodilator with analgesic properties and is known to cause local skin erythema when applied topically. It is employed as an active ingredient in various over-the-counter topical products for researching muscle and joint pain[1].[2].[3].[4].
体内研究

At dosages ranging from 5 to 10 mg/kg administered orally via gavage in a single dose, it exhibits both peripheral and central antialgesic activities in Swiss albino mice[1].

Additionally, methyl nicotinate at concentrations of 5 to 10 mg/mL demonstrates a vasodilatory effect over 30 to 60 minutes in egg embryo experiments[2].
体外研究

Laboratory tests have confirmed that methyl nicotinate at a concentration of 5 mg/mL is not cytotoxic to HDFn cells over 24 hours[2].
