Glyphosate/草甘膦 生物活性

描述 Glyphosate is a derivative of the amino acid glycine and functions as a herbicide. It specifically targets and inhibits the shikimate pathway, a critical metabolic route in plants necessary for the synthesis of aromatic amino acids and absent in animals[1].
体外研究

Glyphosate is recognized for its high efficiency, broad-spectrum activity, and low toxicity. However, residues from glyphosate-based herbicides are common environmental pollutants. Studies have shown that glyphosate exposure may disrupt mouse oocyte maturation by inducing oxidative stress and triggering early apoptosis. Furthermore, glyphosate is known to induce both early apoptosis and autophagy in mouse oocytes[2].
