Gentamicin/庆大霉素 生物活性

描述 Gentamicin is an aminoglycoside bactericidal antibiotic, which is mainly aimed at gram-negative bacterial infection. Gentamicin can also establish an animal model of experimental renal failure by inducing nephrotoxicity.
体内研究 Gentamicin (oral and injectable forms) showed effective antibacterial activity against Yersinia pestis in a mouse infection model [2] . Gentamicin (0.27 g/kg) significantly reduced the number of bacteria on foreign bodies in mice [3] .
体外研究 Gentamicin is a more potent in vitro bacterial inhibitor than the penicillin-streptomycin combination, is non-toxic to tissue culture monolayers and does not inhibit viral replication [1] . Gentamicin is bactericidal against a wider range of organisms (Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus mirabilis and Streptococcus faecalis) than penicillin and streptomycin [1] .
