Dimercaprol/二巯基丙醇 生物活性

描述 (2,3-Dimercapto-1-propanol) acts as an anti-heavy metal-poisoning agent and also demonstrates anti-HIV properties. It is used in research related to the poisoning by metals such as arsenic, mercury, gold, lead, antimony, and more[1].
体内研究

Administered as a single subcutaneous injection (12.5-75 mg/kg), Dimercaprol increases mortality rates and reduces the mercury content in the liver and kidneys[3].
体外研究

Dimercaprol (10-100 μM; 4 h) effectively shields PC-12 cells from Acrolein-induced cell death in a concentration-dependent manner[2].
