AZD5904 生物活性

描述 Myeloperoxidase (MPO) is a peroxidase enzyme that acts as a key regulator of oxidative stress-mediated apoptosis in cells. AZD5904 is an irreversible MPO inhibitor with similar potency in human (IC50 = 140 nM), rats, and mice. In isolated human neutrophils, AZD5904 at a concentration of 1 μM inhibited PMA-stimulated HOCl by over 90%. Rats with a plasma content of AZD5904 at around 5 μM showed decreased in vivo formation of glutathione sulphonamide from in situ zymosan activated peritoneum neutrophils. AZD5904 has low CNS penetration[1].
