描述 Liothyronine represents an active thyroid hormone variant. It acts as a powerful agonist for the thyroid hormone receptors TRα and TRβ, exhibiting Ki values of 2.33 nM for both hTRα and hTRβ, respectively[1].[2].[3]. Produced in accordance with GMP guidelines, Liothyronine (Triiodothyronine) (GMP), also known as Liothyronine, functions effectively as a supportive reagent in cell therapy production. It serves as a strong agonist for the thyroid hormone receptors TRα and TRβ with Ki values of 2.33 nM for each, hTRα and hTRβ, respectively[1].

In cases where TRβ1 is upregulated, liothyronine (100 nM) enhances the growth of hepatocarcinoma cells[1].

The binding of liothyronine to the human β1 thyroid hormone receptor (hTRβ1) alters its structure, thereby fostering cellular growth, promoting differentiation, and regulating metabolic processes[2].

Liothyronine (GMP) is utilized in the culture mediums essential for generating induced pluripotent stem cells from human keratinocytes[1].

Additionally, it is crucial for the proliferation and self-renewal of limbal stem cells (LSCs)[2].

At a concentration of 4 nM, Liothyronine (GMP) encourages the cardiac differentiation and maturation of embryonic stem cells[3].

Furthermore, Liothyronine (GMP) at 100 Nm over 14 days, enhances the electrophysiological maturation of cardiomyocytes derived from human-induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSC)[4].
