(S)-Oxiracetam/(S)-奥拉西坦 生物活性

描述 Oxiracetam is a cyclic derivative of γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) which has been commonly used as nootropic drug to treat cognitive impairments[3]. ORC (Oxiracetam) suppressed the activation of BV2 cells, decreased the production of Aβ-induced inflammatory molecules and NO in BV2 cells, and protected HT22 cells against indirect toxicity mediated by Aβ-treated BV2 cell-conditioned medium[4]. ORC (100 mg/kg or 200 mg/kg) treatment significantly alleviated learning and memory deficits and neuronal damage in rats with VaD (vascular dementia)[5]. Moreover, oxiracetam at a dose of 800 mg/kg enhanced metabolism impaired by diaschisis in the caudal areas of the contralateral cortex[6]. NGF (nerve growth factor) in combination with oxiracetam is significantly effective in treating hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage as it can apparently recover neurologic impairment and limbs muscle force[7].
