生物活性
描述 Urolithin A, the intestinal microbial metabolite of ellagic acid, has the characteristics of anti-inflammatory, anti-proliferation and anti-oxidation. Urolithin A imparted cognitive protection by protecting neurons from death and triggering neurogenesis via anti-inflammatory signaling in APP/PS1 mice[3]. Urolithin A shows antiproliferative effects and inhibits T24 and Caco-2 cell growth with IC50s of 43.9 and 49 μM, respectively[3]. Moreover, inhibiting effects on cell proliferation in a dose-dependent manner (IC50 = 137 ± 8.2 μM) after 24 h treatment of Urolithin A. Administration of 100–250 μM of Urolithin A results in the down-regulation of β-catenin/TCF dependent transcriptional activation in HepG2 cells[4].
