描述 Eugenol is a phenolic compound from the class of phenylpropanoids and the main component of clove[3]. Eugenol and its related compounds are effective antioxidants that can prevent free radical-mediated diseases[4]. Eugenol's ability to sequester free radicals in the DPPH assay (IC50 = 11.7 μg/mL), as well as to inhibit reactive oxygen species (ROS) (IC50 = 1.6 μg/mL), H2O2 (IC50 = 22.6 μg/mL and 27.1 μg/mL), and NO (IC50< 50.0 μg/mL)[3].in vitro,the fluorescence of eugenol decreased with the increase of insulin concentration. The values of Ksv and kq were found to be 2.5 × 105 L mol−1 and 2.5 × 1013 L mol−1 s−1 respectively[5].
