描述 Fast Green FCF, a sea green triarylmethane dye, exhibits maximum absorption in the range of 622 to 626 nm. It is extensively utilized as a staining reagent for various applications, including as a quantitative histone stain at alkaline pH post-acid DNA extraction and as a protein stain in electrophoresis. However, Fast Green FCF is carcinogenic and is understood to act at the presynaptic locus by inhibiting neurotransmitter release in the nervous system[1].
