描述 | 5(6)-TAMRA contains a carboxylic acid that can be used to react with primary amines via carbodiimide activation of the carboxylic acid. It is a bright, orange-fluorescent dye that produces conjugates with absorption/emission maxima of ~555/580 nm. Conjugates of the dyes with "small molecules" provided specific labeling (covalent and non-covalent) of organelles as well as of components of the cytoskeleton in living cells and were combined with fluorescent probes prepared from 610CP and SiR dyes and applied in two-color STED microscopy with a 775 nm STED laser[3]. Having combined TAMRA-labeled DNA probe and the power of RNA-seq technology, TAMRA+ cells displayed gene expression signatures characteristic of both stem cells and cancer cells[4]. Co-internalization of the orexin-1 receptor was observed by monitoring the binding and trafficking of TAMRA-(5- and 6-carboxytetramethylrhodamine) labelled orexin-A[5]. TAMRA-IL-13-f-Gd3N@C80 (attached a TAMRA fluorescent label and conjugated the IL-13 peptide) has been studied for MRI of IL-13Rα2 expression on glioma tumors in mice[6]. |
