描述 Biocytin is a concatenation of D-biotin and L-lysine, in which the carboxylate of D-biotin is coupled to the ε-amine of L-lysine via a secoamidic bond.Biocytin is a classical neuroanatomical tracer commonly used for mapping brain connectivity.Biocytin is used as a multifunctional in cis-, retrograde, and intracellular neuroanatomical studies as well as biotinidase assays markers [1][2].Due to its high affinity for affinities, Biocytin can be visualised at the light and electron microscopic level by using a large number of affinity markers.Biocytin is used to visualise the morphology of dendrites and axonal dendrites[1] .
