描述 Dansylcadaverine is a fluorescent probe labled with thymosin β4[1]. Dansylcadaverine inhibits EGF internalization by preventing it from clustering in clathrin-coated pits[2]. Immunofluorescent localization of dansylcadaverine in dansylcadaverine-treated cells demonstrates incorporation of the amino into endocytic vesicles. Covalent coupling of dansylcadaverine to cellular membranes may account for its ability to interfere with endocytosis in certain susceptible cells[3]. Dansylcadaverine is 20-fold more potent than amantadine in blocking virus and alpha 2-macroglobulin uptake[4]. Dansylcadaverine, which structurally resembles the calmodulin antagonists W-7 and W-5, prevented the calmodulin dependent stimulation of 3':5'-cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase in vitro[5].
