描述 Anserine is the methylated form of Carnosine, an orally active naturally occurring histidine dipeptide found in vertebrate skeletal muscle. Carnosine is not catabolised by serum carnosine peptidase and acts as a biochemical buffer, chelator, antioxidant and anti-glycation agent. Carnosine improves memory function in a model of Alzheimer's disease (AD) in mice[1 ][2].
