描述 Silver sulfadiazine (AgSD) exerts a dual inhibitory effect on bacterial growth. Its sulfonamide component inhibits bacterial folate absorption and DNA synthesis, while the released silver binds to and disrupts bacterial DNA, hindering DNA replication[1]. AgSD is widely used as a topical antibiotic for studying bacterial infections in burns[2].
