X-GAL 生物活性

描述 X-GAL (BCIG) is a widely recognized chromogenic substrate for β-galactosidase, remaining colorless until enzymatic cleavage occurs. This reaction transforms X-GAL into an insoluble blue compound, allowing for easy detection. Such properties make X-GAL especially valuable in applications like blue-white screening for cloning in bacteria and assessing β-galactosidase activity across various research contexts[1].[2].
