Troxerutin, also known as vitamin P4, can inhibit platelet aggregation and the production of ROS. It is a flavonol isolated from Sophora japonica and used as a vasoprotective.
Troxerutin, is natural flavonoid rutin present in tea, coffee, cereal grains and a variety of fruits and vegetables. It can improve capillary function, reduce capillary fragility and abnormal leakage. Toxerutin preconditioning significantly reduced myocardial infarct size, improved cardiac function[3].In addition, troxerutin protects against cardiomyopathy via alterations in NF-κB, AKT and IRS1 signaling, in a rat model of type 2 diabetes[4].And troxerutin regulated the inflammatory lesions via CXCR4-TXNIP/NLRP3(C-X-C chemokine ligand 12 receptor 4-thioredoxin interaction protein) inflammasome in the kidney of mice induced by BDE-47(2,2',4,4'-Tetrabromodiphenyl ether)[5].
