Pharm Dev Technol. 2018 Apr;23(4):334-342. doi: 10.1080/10837450.2016.1242624 In the SKEV cell culture, Triazavirin at a concentration of 128mcg/mL inhibited tick-borne encephalitis virus reproduction.[1] Triazavirin at high doses (200–400mg/kg) moderately protected albino mice infected with Forest-Spring encephalitis. Triazavirin-treated animals showed significantly increased lifespan (4.1–4.8 days) and significantly reduced virus accumulation in the brain compared to the control group.[2]
