Scutellarin is the major active component extracted from Erigeron breviscapus with antioxidant and anti-inflammation properties. Scutellarin can regulate the expression of GFAP, Notch-1 signaling, and nestin along with that of proinflammatory mediators in reactive astrocytes in ischemic injury[3] [4] [5]
