描述 Dapoxetine hydrochloride is an orally active and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) known primarily for its use in the study of premature ejaculation (PE)[1].

Animal study Furthermore, when administered via oral gavage at doses ranging from 1 to 10 mg/kg daily, dapoxetine hydrochloride significantly mitigates the increase in prostate weight and relative prostate weight induced by testosterone, thereby attenuating testosterone-induced prostatic hyperplasia in rats[2].
