描述 Caerulomycin A is a rare and unusual antibiotic containing a core 2, 2'-bispyridyl with an oxime substituent, isolated and purified from a strain of Streptomyces caeruleus. Caerulomycin is active against fungi and some protozoans, and is weakly active against bacteria. Caerulomycin A suppresses the differentiation of naive T cells and alleviates the symptoms of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis.
