| 描述 | Harmane is a β-Carboline alkaloid and a potent neurotoxin that can cause severe action tremors and psychiatric manifestations. It has an IC50 value of 30 nM for the I1-Imidazoline receptor, which is 1000 times more selective than for the α2-adrenoceptor (IC50=18 μM). Harmane is also an effective selective MAO inhibitor, with IC50 values for human MAO A/B of 0.5 μM and 5 μM, respectively. Harmane has comutagenic effect[1][2][3][4]. | ||
