描述 Impatiens balsamina L., an annual native to India, is now widely cultivated as an ornamental plant. The seeds have been used to treat difficult labor, to suppress puerperal pain, and to act as an emmenagogue, expectorant, and as an antidote for poisoning from fish in some Oriental countries. Hosenkoside C is a baccharane glycoside isolated from the seeds of Impatiens balsamina[1].
