The cell cycle arrest induced by Iberin is associated with the suppression of the expression of cyclin-dependent kinases Cdk2, Cdk4, and Cdk6. Compared to control cells, there is an increase in apoptotic cell death in cells treated with Iberin. Studies have linked the apoptosis induced by Iberin to the activation of caspase-9, caspase-3, and PARP[1]. | ||
