描述 | Acriflavine is recognized as a strong inhibitor of MCT4, effectively preventing the interaction between Basigin and MCT4. It notably reduces the proliferation and self-renewal capabilities of various glioblastoma neurosphere lines. Additionally, treatment with Acriflavine leads to a significant reduction in the intratumoral levels of VEGF and vascular development within tumors[1]. Acriflavine, also acting as a HIF-1 inhibitor, diminishes the viability and proliferation of CML cells by targeting their stem cell-like properties. Moreover, in a mouse model of CML, acriflavine is effective in curtailing leukemia progression and diminishing the sustenance of leukemia stem cells (LSC)[2]. |
