描述 | Fisetin is a natural flavonoid, found in various fruits and vegetables, and it is reported to have neurotrophic, anticarcinogenic, anti-inflammatory, and other health beneficial effects[3]. Recent studies revealed its antitumor effects in various cancer model. Fisentin (0,100, 200, and 400μM) reduced PANC-1 cell viability in a dose- and time-dependent manner, and also inhibited the proliferation of PANC-1 cells. In a nude mouse xenograft model, tumor sizes were significantly reduced in fisetin-treated mice (300mg/kg body weight, i.p., every other day)[4]. HepG2 cells that were exposed to different concentrations of fisetin (25, 50, and 100μM) for 24 h showed decreased autophagic flux formation in a dose-dependent manner. The suppression of autophagy by fisetin may serve as an effective therapeutic strategy against HCC[5]. |
