It acts as a form of vitamin B3 (niacin) and promotes oxidative metabolism, offering protection from metabolic issues induced by a high-fat diet[1]. Nicotinamide riboside slows down cognitive decline in a transgenic mouse model of Alzheimer’s disease[2].
