描述 N-Desmethyltamoxifen, the primary human metabolite of tamoxifen, exhibits weaker antiestrogen properties but is ten times more effective as a protein kinase C (PKC) inhibitor than tamoxifen itself. Additionally, it acts as a strong regulator of ceramide metabolism in human AML cells, restricting ceramide glycosylation, hydrolysis, and sphingosine phosphorylation [1][2][3].
