描述 D-pantothenic acid is an important precursor for the biosynthesis of coenzyme A and essential vitamin to maintain the normal physiological functions of organisms. The d-pantothenic acid concentration of DPA-5 ( the W3110 Trc-panCpanEpanBilvC-ilvG*) increased to 0.49 g/L which is 1.2-fold higher than that of DPA-4( W3110 Trc-panCpanEpanBilvC ). Moreover, strain DPA-9/pTrc99a-panBC(C.G) exhibited a highest d-pantothenic acid yield of 28.45 g/L, and DPA-9/pTrc-panBC(C.G)panD(B.S) showed a 12.33 g/L d-pantothenic acid production in fed-batch fermentation without addition of β-alanine [3]. The recoveries of body weight, tissue weights, and tissue concentrations of free D-pantothenic acid, dephospho-CoA, CoA, and acetyl-CoA were identical between rats fed diets containing D-pantothenic acid and D-pantethine[4].
